Rodents & Insects...

For our rodent control programmes we incorporate a variety of techniques and effective rodenticides, the choice of which depends on the location and size of problem.

In our initial site survey report, we include advice on general housekeeping, hygiene and proofing to lessen the chances of problems occurring. If required, baiting is carried out using 2nd generation rodenticide's within tamper resistant bait stations so that they are inaccessible to prying fingers and non target animals.

By utilising fly screens and curtains we can establish a physical barrier to flying insects trying to gain entry into your premises whilst still providing adequate ventilation. Bird Proofing...

Birds as pleasant as they are do at times create problems which have to be controlled such as damage to property and health problems which can be caused by nesting/roosting and fouling.

Axholme Pest Control uses a variety of control techniques from audio & visual scare equipment, gels and bird wire. One of the most effective ways of deterring birds from perching or nesting on your buildings is to use spikes. These come in a range of sizes and lengths enabling us to place then almost anywhere. We can attach them straight to the building itself or clip them on to windows or gutters. The spikes are made of high tensile stainless steel and are blunted at the tip so as not to harm birds. Another effective method of proofing your property against invading birds is to use netting.

We can supply and fit netting systems to your premises in vulnerable areas to prevent birds from roosting . The nets come in a range of colours so that we can blend them in with the building. When netting is properly installed it is almost invisible to the passing eye.

Wildlife Management...

Wildlife can be a major problem causing damage to property and crops. Special care is taken to control these creatures in accordance with legislation's and the customers needs.

Rabbits destroy agricultural and horticultural crops, forestry, amenity land, parkland and domestic gardens as well as undermining bridges, buildings, embankments etc..

Grey Squirrels strip the bark off trees and damage agricultural and horticultural crops. In roof spaces they will destroy insulation, damage wiring and plumbing potentially causing fires and floods. Moles damage agricultural land and crops, sporting and recreational facilities, amenity land and domestic gardens.

Foxes damage agricultural and amenity land, gardens and will kill pets and livestock. 25% of the fox population live in urban areas posing a noise problem. Mink decimate fish, game and bird populations.
